Setting Up ContentLicensing

Explains how to install ContentLicensing

Section 1_1











To install ContentLicensing, go to http://plone.org/products/contentlicensing. Select the latest non-experimental version, which is typically called ContentLicensing-[version number].tar.gz

Once you've downloaded the tar.gz, go to the plone instance home directory and extract the tar.gz to the "Products" folder. The exact path will vary depending on the platform.

Now login as administrator to the Plone instance and click "preferences."

Select "Add/Remove Products" on the left-hand side of the page.

Under the column marked "Products available to install" ContentLicensing should be available for installation.  If it is not, make sure the tar.gz file was extracted to the correct directory or try restarting the Plone instance.  Place a checkmark by ContentLicensing and click "Install."  Once you have done so the ContentLicensing package should be moved to right column marked "Installed Products.
