Collage lets you only choose between the newest 20 of each content type.
This is unpractical on a site with much content (thousands of objects).
It would be great if we can search existing content with SeearchableText.
I added a field to existing_items_form.
Posting here the patch in case it's useful to somebody else.
It seems to work in Firefox, opera and IE

The patch was submitted some time ago, before 1.0.1 final release.
It has been reviewed and merged on 12/14/07, see https://dev.plone.org/collective/changeset/55617
Perhaps this ticket should be set to "fixed"?
