For the benefit of individuals/organisations that are _primarily bound_ to using open access repositories such as EPrints http://www.eprints.org/

A wish: interaction between CMF Bibliography AT and systems such as EPrints.

I confess, I have not found time to properly consider what's at and around http://www.openplans.org/projects/zugod/bibliography -
but a glance at some of it does suggest that things are looking good :)

==========
Background
==========

People within our research group:

a) have, collectively, an area http://eprints.brighton.ac.uk/view/groups/AM5.html within the university's open access repository

 * as I understand it, this is necessarily the _primary_ repository for our publications and related metadata

b) have, as individuals, no comparable pages

 * data from person-specic URLs such as http://eprints.brighton.ac.uk/[…]/H.J.Rush=40brighton.ac.uk.include does suit people/departments using Apache/PHP, but such data is not immediately usable by Plone

In any case

c) we wish for more, from the repository, than is currently offered

Some users accustomed to EndNote.

Some users actively asking about reference management in OpenOffice.org and concerning this, a few days ago I suggested, as an option:

 * less reliance upon office formats generally

 * greater use of page objects etc. in Plone
 * objects in Plone referring to entries in the OA repository

----

I assume that CMF Bibliography AT may be complementary to situations such as this. The more complementary/interactive, the better :)

Thanks
Graham
