A featured Link is a Link with an additional Image. Featured Links can be displayed in a portlet or an 'CMF Contents Panels viewlet'. This can be used for a simple banner or webring system.
The 'In the Spotlights' feature on IW:LEARN is an example for this.
RSS Feeds (and Live Bookmarks) based on the keywords (tagging), the del.icio.us way of syndicating links.
Better exposure for tasty filters, i.e. filtering by keywords(tags)
Easier way to add keywords that are not in the current context (path)
Keywords of the Bookmarkfolder get assigned to links created in that folder
