Newsforge has an article about UNC Healthcare and why they chose Plone for their intranet and public-facing internet site.

A very successful project, and great coverage!

This project was completed by CIGNEX (http://www.cignex.com), and having spoken with the clients, I can attest to how delighted they were with Zope, Plone, and their consulting arrangement.

There's also a large and active ZPUG, called TriZPUG (http://trizpug.org), located in UNC area, and they meet often to help others learn about Zope, Plone, and Python.

I am glad that healthcare is choosing Plone. People started realizing that Plone is not just for brochureware websites. Plone can be used for serious, secure healthcare applications.

ZeOmegas product Jiva which is based on zope and plone has an install base of 500,000 lives. I also know of a large health plan based in midwest with 400,000 memebers that is using Plone for internal projects.
