Help Improve Plone: fill out the first-ever Plone Community Survey!

by Jon Stahl last modified January 27, 2008 - 04:50

In just under two weeks, we'll be convening the first-ever Plone Strategic Planning Summit in Mountain View, CA.  Nearly fifty folks from the Plone community will be gathering for 3 days of big picture thinking about the future of Plone.

Fifty people is a lot, and yet, not so many.  The Plone community is far, far bigger than that, and it's important to have other voices "in the room" even if you can't be there in person.

That's why we've put together another first... the first-ever Plone Community Survey!  :-)

The purpose of this survey is to gather information about how Plone is being used in the real world, what's working and what needs to be improved.

Please help us see the big picture of what we're doing, what we can improve and what's inspiring you from the wider world beyond Plone!

Fill out the 2008 Plone Community Survey today.

There are a million questions we'd love to ask you, but in order to keep the survey short, we've pared it down to five big picture, open-ended questions that will take about 20 minutes to complete, and will mirror some of the in-person conversations we'll be having in Mountain View, including:

  • Plone's "out of the box" experience
  • Configuring and customizing Plone
  • Developing add-on Products and programming for Plone
  • Deployment, hosting and consulting
  • Support and documentation

After the Strategic Planning Summit, we will likely return to you with some specific ideas for more in-depth feedback.

Fill out the 2008 Plone Community Survey today.

Thanks again for being a part of the vibrant community that is Plone and for taking the time to help us continue to improve!

Results?

Are there any plans to share some of the results, observations, or insights from the surveys? Or even just knowing how many you got and if you found it helpful for the survey.

Glad that we did it as a community and hope the information will be an ongoing asset in guiding Plone's future.

Cheers,
Chris

Yes indeed!

Absolutely, Chris! I have a rough draft that I used with the Plone Strategic Planning Summit; as part of the PSPS report-out, which I'm working on this week, I will include a readable version of the results. Thanks for the nudge!
