Jim Fulton has made some of the work he has been doing on ExtensionClasses to make them compatible with Python 2.3 available under a branch in both CMF and Zope.

Plone is going to COMDEX!
Plone was selected as one of the open-source projects to represent at the O'Reilly booth at COMDEX, Las Vegas this month.
Help get Plone to Comdex!
Comdex is one of the biggest technology conferences in the world. O'Reilly Network has graciously selected Plone as one of the 20 projects they would like to see at Comdex. Now you must help vote for Plone to get us selected as one of the six projects they will have on their stand.
Plone 0.9.9 and Example
Not quite 0.9.9, its 0.9.9.Closer. Sorry, but I couldn't end a good thing. We also have CMFExample, which is an example website that you can manage via Plone. Biggest changes - filesystem refactoring, usability fixes, move to 2 column layout. Please look to CVS if you want to help Plone development.
Bug Day 3
Bug Day 3 was announced on short notice. We are going to clean out the collector, add some minor enhancements (possibly) and release a beta of Plone in the following days.
Developers: Plone Bug Day
This Friday is an official Bug Hunt Day for Plone 2.0. After this effort, we will release the last beta, and move on to RC's, with a planned release of Plone 2.0 final by the end of November.
2nd Plone Bug Day
In effort to get 1.0 details sorted out we will host the 2nd Plone Bug Day on openprojects.net on #plone. This will begin July 25 @ 9AM CST
