Plone Event Sponsorship Policy
In 2009, the Plone Foundation adopted its first marketing plan, and in August 2009, approved a USD$12,000 budget allocation to fund Plone community members to represent Plone at technology conferences and events.
Submitting new events
Please email marketing@plone.org with suggestions for new events -- please include all the information above.
Events are prioritized and recommended by the Marketing and expenditures approved by the Plone Foundation board of directors. We welcome your advice -- feel free to leave a comment below or email us.
Applying for funds from our event sponsorship fund
Please use this form to apply for support from our event sponsorship fund. Note that you must be logged in to Plone.org to view the form.
In general, we will be looking to provide matching funds (e.g. half of booth/registration costs) to Plone community members with a solid history of community contributions. The Plone Foundation board of directors will make sponsorship decisions initially but in 2010 may turn this over to a committee of community members.

Reporting back
If you receive event sponsorship funds, we'll expect you to provide a brief report-back to the Plone community via this form, which will also serve as your official request for reimbursement from the Plone Foundation. :-)
