World Plone Day 2009 (http://plone.org/events/wpd) is upon us and the Seattle Plone users group will be hosting our own local event at the offices of ONE/Northwest on Wednesday, April 22nd.

World Plone Day is an opportunity to introduce those unfamiliar with Plone to the amazing platform we all love and have benefited from.  In an effort to build upon our intro to Plone training last November, this meeting includes:

  • What is Plone? (Emceed by Plone Foundation President, Jon Stahl)
  • Plone 4 - Content Management in 3D - Deliverance, Dexterity, and Deco.  What might be on the horizon for Plone and where we are right now (led by David Glick, Cris Ewing, & Andrew Burkhalter)
  • Open Q&A, Discussion
  • Socializing & Fun

Plone: How it helps you build great websites

A brief overview of what Plone is all about -- led by Jon Stahl, Plone Foundation Board President

Plone 4 - Content Management in 3D - Deliverance, Dexterity, and Deco.

Many exciting things are being proposed and considered by the Plone 4 framework team for inclusion into the next major release of the Plone content management system.  The future is certainly looking bright!  What's even better is that many of these things can be used or tested and contributed to today.  Come learn a bit more about the major focus areas of Plone 4 and how they connect to where we are today.
