Plone Bootcamps comes for the first time to New York with our week-long, hands-on developer bootcamp. We'll cover how to use, customize, and develop for Plone sites, and welcome anyone experienced with HTML--no Python or Plone experience is required. We'll give you the skills you need to build your site or develop your consulting skills in Plone.

This bootcamp is offered to the general public, and is aimed at:
- people with HTML or web design experience
- people with some or no Python experience
- people with some or no Zope/Plone experience
The Plone Bootcamp covers everything you need to know to use, customize, and develop Plone sites.
This course focuses on moving you from someone with little or no Plone skills to:
- Understanding Plone's advanced features
- Customizing the look and feel of a Plone site
- Writing new templates and scripts
- Developing new content types in Archetypes
- Using best practices in development (debugging, testing, etc.)
Day One
- Installing Plone
- Using advanced Plone features (Smart Folders, syndication, etc.)
- Customizing Plone's features
- Installing add-on products for Plone

- Writing Python scripts in Plone
- Building forms and applications in Plone
- Managing users and workflow
Day Four
- Creating new content types with Archetypes
- Using ArchGenXML to design content types visually
- Customizing your content type appearance and functionality
- Writing new Plone products
- Debugging product installation/authorship issues
Day Five
- Using Plone with relational databases
- Debugging Plone (ZODB shell and WingIDE)
- Looking to the future: Zope 3 technologies and Five
- Customizing Plone's workflow and security
- Best practices for development and deployment
