Plone 3 introduces many new features to Plone, including:

  • inline editing
  • versioning and staging
  • through-the-web locking to prevent concurrent editing
  • user-selectable portlets and a new portlet system
  • "viewlets" -- allowing elegant page composition without customizing HTML

This course is intended for people who have experience with the basics of Plone site development and HTML/CSS. It will cover what you need to know to take advantage of these new technologies in Plone 3.

Special Focus on KSS

This course includes a special 3 hour presentation on KSS, the new AJAX library for Plone 3 -- from Balázs Reé, one of the core developers of KSS! Come learn how you can easily add interactive, "web 2.0"-style dynamic elements to your site.

Audience:
  • Site managers
  • Developers

This special, 2-day class is being offered to complement the Plone Conference: it's held in the same location and many of the attendees will be fellow conference attendees. The course will run from about 9am to 4:30pm both days.
