Sprint-Date
The sprint starts on Wednesday, 2003/09/24 and ends on Sunday, 2003/09/28.
Sprint-Topic
Plone is a very good starting point for building educational/elearning applications. We should come together, think about and implement features we are missing in Plone for educational/elearning settings.
General guidelines and recommendations for the project:
- focus on core supporting technology for now, and collect requirements and wishes along the way
- start small, grow steadily, refactor and rearrange
- implement the project as a pluggable Customization-Policy - not a customization or fork of Plone.
- coordinate with the Plone project
Missing features:
- Keyword-Management for Plone (change, delete, merge keywords and update objects) (mjablonski)
- Flexible Metadata-System (needed for LOM, etc.) (mjablonski)
- Usability-Improvements (mjablonski)
- Implementation of IMS-Specifications (like ContentPackage, LOM, Learning Design, LIP, ...) native or plugable (eduzope/jensens)
- Publication listings for research papers, PhD? theses, articles, etc. (like ">CMFBibliography but extending it with features like "DSpace>?)
- Relations Support in Plone -- RDF, Zope Topic Maps Archetypes
- Nate wishlist
