The plan for this sprint is to clean up and move the Linguaplone architecture forward to be in line with the recent development of Plone and Zope, and improve the framework for Plone's i18n environment with these features:

  • Zope3 component design able to work on schema and AT objects and using Plone 3 framework
  • Clean up of language negotiation and translation policies
  • Designed to host many languages
  • Canonical URL with W3C way of working
  • Able to export / import to different translation formats : XLIFF / po files
  • Pluggable policies to enable:
    • /es-ES/ urls
    • Actual linguaplone policies

 

All the design an implementation is going to be supported and finished by the GSOC on linguaplone.
