GenericSetup is a tool that gives you a way of exporting and importing site configuration. This tool has been in Plone since version 2.5, but still remains a mystery to many.
In this talk, Six Feet Up's Lead Developer Clayton Parker will de-mystify the tool and how it is used. Clayton will go over how to create GenericSetup profiles, usage of the portal_setup tool to export/import and how to use setup handlers and upgrade steps.
Free GenericSetup Quick Reference Cards will be distributed at the end of the talk.
