Presentation at Plone Symposium East 2008. Following on the heels of the Ploneability Conference and the planning meeting at Rice University in November 2007, Next Steps for Plone in Education will be a strategic planning session to identify priorities for applications and collaborations among educational institutions.

Summary

This session will consider the power and potential of Plone as a content management system and general application platform for educational institutions. We will consider those questions raised at Ploneability, including the stewardship of intellectual property by the Plone Foundation, building collaborative relationships between educational institutions, communicating educational-specific needs to the Plone developer community, and learning from the developer community how we can be better citizens in the Plone community.
