Summary

When I first started using buildout about six months ago, I found that it made my life a lot easier. I got started with some basic tutorials, but every week I learned something new about buildout and found better ways of doing things. Then I found out about virtualenv. In this presentation, I will go over the reasons for using buildout and virtualenv and how to get started with both tools. Then, I'll cover some of the best practices that I've culled from different sources on the web. As buildout best practices seem to be in a general state of flux right now, I'm also interested in hearing from others about what has worked best for them.
