When

Note the dates in your diary because you can't miss the Plone Open Garden 2011.

to begin:

28-29 April - two days of sessions with programmed talks and open garden meetings

and closing with:

30 April - 1 May - a week-end dedicated to the Sprint

We will be very happy to meet you all in the open garden, and naturally it won't be only work...
you can spend your nights visiting the great scenario of Sorrento and of the nearby cities, trying great food and experiencing the Italian welcoming nature.

Where

Sorrento is the earth of the best lemon juice ever; they mix it with alcohol creating the Limoncello, a great refreshment. Sorrento is one of the most beautiful city in Italy, and its coast is famous for the sunny weather and the warm days; you could even think of coming with your family, enjoyng both the Plone Symposium and a great holiday break.

We couldn't choose a better place for this meeting than Sorrento, with the great scenario of the Italian coast. The hotel can arrange transfers to and from the airport, or you can find more info about how to reach Sorrento clicking here or have a look to the panorama using the local webcam.

Accommodation

We have special prices if you are booking a room to attend the event, but remember to book asap because the rooms are limited. If you can't find a free room don't worry, the Mediterraneo Hotel will find you another room with an equivalent accomodation at walking distance at the same rate:

     - eur 65,00 per person per night in double room
    - eur 105,00 per person per night in single room
     - eur 50,00 per person per night in triple room

rates are valid for 3 nights minimum stays between 28/04/2011 (arriving on) and 02/05/2011 (departing on)

fees include

    - half board treatment (with dinner and breakfast)
    - use of meeting rooms during the Sprint event
    - wireless connection for the whole stay
    - shuttle to and from Sorrento Historical centre

To book a room please send an e mail to the hotel specifing you are member of the Plone Open Garden 2011. A credit card number will be requested. That's the best offer you can find to partecipate to the event, logically you are totally free to book somewhere else but as you will see, that's the best deal to attend the event and get a good accomodation within a reasonable budget.

Call for Proposal

A real party is never successful without a theme.

We are fond of listening to your ideas about Plone: use this form to submit your proposals for having a talk during the Open Garden event.

As usual, we accept any kind of Plone specific proposal, but this time we're especially interested in spreading your real life experiences making Plone work with other technologies, both pythonic, like Pyramid or Django, or not, like whatever you needed to.

Please submit your proposal before the 4th of April 2011. Do it and you will be one of the life&soul of our meeting!!!
