European Plone Symposium 2009

Here it comes the European Plone Symposium 2009, seven days of "Ploning" in three different appointments:

a Trainingsession that will take place Monday May 11 and Tuesday May 12;

the Symposium itself, that is scheduled for Wednesday May 13 and Thursday May 14.

and a final Sprints to be held over the long week-end Friday to Sunday May 15,16,17.

Plone is fighting the licensed software using the power of the open source and of a marvellous community of developers. That's why you can still ask for a great Plone product within a fair budget. The Plone Community works to achieve this results and shows its competence; meetings and conferences are the real chance to practically share this technology. The Sorrento Symposium is a huge occasion to do so, plus that even the very first time that a Plone Symposium is held in Europe and not overseas as in the past years; this will give you more chance to partecipate to this great Plone event and share your know how with the rest of the community. If you are still in doubt, remember that Sorrento is one of the most beatiful city in Italy and May is the best period ever to enjoy our sun for a little relaxing break in an European scenario.

The European Plone Symposium 2009

will start with the happy hour:
11-12 May - a 2 days Training session on Plone

go on till dinner time:
13-14 May – the real Symposium session with talks and meetings

and close with the pudding
15-16-17 May – the long week-end dedicated to the Sprint

We will be very happy to have you taking part to it, and naturally it won't be only work...
you can spend your nights visiting the great scenario of Sorrento and of the nearby cities, trying great food and experiencing the Italian welcoming nature.

 

Where

Sorrento is the earth of the best lemon juice ever; they mix it with alcohol creating the Limoncello, a great refreshment. Sorrento is one of the most beautiful city in Italy and its coast is famouse for the sunny weather and the warm days, especially in May; you could even think of coming with your family, enjoyng both the Plone Symposium and a great holiday break.

We couldn't choose a better place for this meeting that Sorrento, with the great scenario of the Italian coast. Accomodation

We have special prices if you are booking a room to attend the symposium, but remember to book asap because the rooms are limited. If you can't find a free room don't worry, the Mediterraneo Hotel will find you another room with an equivalent accomodation at walking distance at the same rate:

• eur  75,00 per person per night in double room
• eur 115,00 per person per night in single room
• eur  58,00 per person per night in triple room
  

rates   are valid for 3 nights minimum stays between 10/05/2009 (arriving on) and 18/05/2009 (departing on)

fees include

• half board treatment (with dinner and breakfast)
  
• use of meeting rooms during the Sprint event
• wireless connection for the whole stay
• shuttle to and from Sorrento Historical centre

That's the best offer you can find to partecipate to the Symposium, logically you are totally free to book somewhere else but as you will se, that's the best deal to attend the symposium and get a good accomodation within a reasonable budget.

How Much?

To partecipate to the European Plone Symposium 2009 it will cost you 150€.  So don't go wasting time, sign in.
