What Plone can learn from Rails

For the past year Andy McKay has been absorbed in building sites in Ruby, PHP, Django and mostly Ruby on Rails. This is quite a change for someone doing lots of Plone and Python in the past. What at times has been a frustrating experience can also be instructive. What has Rails got that Plone doesn't, why does it have so much hype? From the perspective of the outside looking in, we can see some areas to improve.
