Runyan’s presentations will take place Thursday, Sept. 20.
The workshop, “Deploying the Plone CMS,” will:
- Discuss how to determine when Plone is the right choice, compared to other content management systems
- Give an overview of content deployment strategies
- Demonstrate Entransit, which lets developers create a flexible public-facing “front end” to deliver Plone content using other technologies, such as PHP, ASP.NET or JavaServer Pages
The talk, “Plone: A Community and a Product,” will discuss the experience of simultaneously building a successful community and a valuable business product, starting with two people and, over six years, growing into a self-sustaining project with hundreds of developers and its own culture.
