The fifth edition of the PythonBrasil event will happen between 10th and 12th September 2009, in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, at UCS.
The call for papers is open and it's the main way that the community can help the PythonBrasil Organization Team to make an event even better than the previous edition. Until 26th July 2009 you can submit your talk and training proposals (portuguese only, for now).
Last year we had the presence of Alexander Limi (you know him, right?) and Bruce Eckel (from the Thinking in Java/C++ books) who said: "Brazilians are very warm and friendly, and PythonBrasil in Rio de Janeiro had over 300 very enthusiastic and committed Python programmers.". In 2009 we'll have the presence of:
- Jacob Kaplan-Moss, Django co-founder, one of the most successful web frameworks;
- Colin Winter, software engineer at Google, and the Unladen Swallow Python optimizing project leader;
- Gustavo Niemeyer, from Canonical, known Python developer, author of the Smart package manager and the Storm object-relational mapper.
PythonBrasil is one of the best technical events in Brazil. Send us your proposal now and come to visit Brazil! :-)
