You're responsible for copy writing and content editing - you know exactly what you want on your website. But how does a Plone Content Management System work, exactly? How do you format content to create a coherent site with Plone?

This one-day training gives writers and Plone end users an introduction and overview of Plone, providing the knowledge and confidence to independently add and manage content on a Plone site. The emphasis is on practical applications and becoming familiar with the capabilities of Plone as applied to daily operation.

Prerequisites

Participant should be familiar with the following:

  • Have experience with using a web browser
  • Be open to new knowledge
  • Have basic computer skills (mouse, keyboard, windows, files.)

Outcomes

At the end of the "Plone End user" training, the participant will have knowledge of the following:

  • The ability to create, customize and publish pages in Plone
  • Usage of site folders and their different views
  • Using images and PDF / Word / Excel documents
  • Creating, editing and publishing the News and Calendar content types

Note

The classes will have an enrollment limit of 8 people.
