As every year since 2003, a Zope track will be held January 31, from 9:30 A.M. to 18:00 P.M., organized by David Sapiro (Pilot Systems) and Cyril Pierre de Geyer (Anaska). This track will include the following talks:

  • Plone 3 new features (Olivier Deckmyn, Ingeniweb);
  • Plone as a framework for web applications (Roger Fernandez, Emencia);
  • high-performance and high-availability with Zope for critical applications and large data volume (Jean-Paul Smets, Nexedi);
  • case study: the intranet of ÉNA - École Nationale d'Administration (David Sapiro, France).

Moreover, a complete Plone tutorial will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. by Damien Baty (Pilot Systems). This tutorial will try to cover all the deployment of an intranet portal through a fictive, yet concrete, use case of a medium sized company:

  • architecture, concepts and brief overview of the features of Plone;
  • integration with an OpenLDAP directory;
  • restricted workspaces;
  • mail notification, full-text indexation of files and integration of other complementary modules.
