There are no version-specific procedures or tips for the migration of Plone 2.1 to 2.5 at this time. We expect the general procedure outlined in this manual to be sufficient.

unfortunately, i happened to try it once (forced).

It's too much a jump and most products are gone. The old one can't work at all even after migration.

So general idea is to create another plone 2.5 instance in zope and copy stuff over from old plone instance to the new one. although there might be very few things that don't work, but it's all right.
