1. Introduction

Up one level
What products are available for integrating Plone with Salesforce.com?

Plone integrates very well with Salesforce.com's powerful CRM platform via a suite of related add-on products, including:

  • Salesforce Base Connector -  allows Plone to call the Salesforce.com API, and is used by the other Plone products.  Salesforce Base Connector requires Beatbox, a low-level Python layer that connects to Salesforce.com's API via SOAP.
  • SalesforceAuthPlugin -  a PAS plugin that allows you to create new Plone Members, save member information (login, password and properties) in Salesforce.com, and authenticate logins against Salesforce.com.
  • Salesforce PFG Adapter - allows you to submit form information from PloneFormGen forms directly into Salesforce.com.
  • Paypal2SalesforceLead - Paypal provides a service called Instant Payment Notification (IPN) which can notify a URL when a payment is made. Paypal2SalesforceLead is a very simple Product for Plone which sets up a listener for IPN, and adds a new Lead to a Salesforce.com account using a Salesforce web-to-lead form whenever a new payment is made.
  • RSVP for Salesforce - simple RSVP/event registration system that allows you to accept registrations for unpaid events via Plone and store the data in Salesforce.com.
