Good Examples

Hi,

I'm trying to make this LinguaPlone work for our multilingual content (dutch, english) but are experiencing trouble (installation itself without any problems!)!

>From the readme.txt (FAQ) I read: I see no language flags and switching language does not work

This happens if the cookie language negotiation scheme is not enabled. Look at the ``portal_languages`` tool in the ZMI and check if ``Use cookie for manual override`` is enabled.

Well, I'm trying to locate portal_languages in ZMI, but can't find it! Hint needed, please!

By the way from Language Settings (Site Setup) I can only select one single language!

(I'm using Plone 3.0.3 on WindowsXP platform.)

Should the Workflow for "Users", "News", and "Events" be the same other Folders?

Plone 3.0.3
CMF-2.1.0
Zope (Zope 2.10.5-final, python 2.4.4, linux2)
Python 2.4.4 (#2, Apr 5 2007, 20:11:18) [GCC 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease)
(Debian 4.1.1-21)]
PIL 1.1.5
Archetypes 1.5.4

Hi everyone.  I have created two new Workflow for my site which are working as expected except for the predefined "Users", "News", and "Events" folders.  While the Contents page off the Home page describe them as Folders (icon), the workflow appears to be same as non-folder content.  I'm sure there is a reason for this design decision, and I would be interested to know.

One workaround I can think of is to use Placeful Workflow, and assign these three folders to use the same workflow as the other Folders.  Does anyone have any  experience which would indicate this would be successful?

Thanks for any help

Bad Examples

year=1876 is before 1900; the datetime strftime() methods require year  >= 1900

This using the widget, I've gone to 1876 using the << on the widget. This is the result, and I cannot edit the object anymore cause there's  an error....

what to do now? :)

Plone won't start

Posted by Duncan Wiliamson at April 9, 2008 - 21:45
I have just installed Plone 3.0.6 on my Windows Vista laptop and it won't start. I am trying to use the icon generated by the software itself but it won't work.

That's all!
