CMFPlone and the other CMF products are not in the list of installed zope products but I have installed them.

This FAQ applies to: Any version.

CMFPlone and the other CMF products are not in the list of installed zope products but I have installed them.

You have to copy or softlink the directories inside the CMF-1.x and CMFPlone-x.x to ZOPE_HOME/lib/python/Products or INSTANCE_HOME/Products if you are using Zope 2.7 or 2.6 with instances.
Just unpacking the tar.gz inside ZOPE_HOME/lib/python/Products doesn't work.
